Sammy is Back With Van Halen

Although it hasn’t been officially announced yet, it looks like the rumored VanHagar reunion is more than a rumor.  The Van Halen News Desk has reported some leaked tour dates via Clear Channel, and the official VH site even has a couple dates listed.  So far, there are only a couple shows listed, but the ones with actual dates associated with them are in PA (that’s good for me) and are in the June time frame.  Depending on the dates, both the Wilkes-Barre, PA and the East Rutherford, NJ shows are what I’m looking at.  The Meadowlands is closer to me, but Wilkes-Barre is a nice smaller venue to see a show, and it makes for a good roadtrip.

The Meadowlands show last night was fabulous. Eddie can still bring it - - Alex is remarkable, and Sammy/Mike were as expected. Nice to see the band is back. If any of u attended last night, lemme know your thoughts too.

The show at the Meadowlands was great. It was nice to see them all together again and it really looked like they were enjoying each other.
One thing though...I was sorry they didnt add Love Waks in, Amsterdam, or Cant Stop Loving you to the playlist.

The set list was so bad. I was bored out of my mind. I went to the Van Halen III show and I thought that was better than this tour. God awful. Gary Cherone has more stage presence than Sammy Hagar. My girlfriend thought David Lee Roth was better than Sammy or Gary. I don't plan on ever wasting my time and money on Van Halen again.

HOLY CRAP THAT CONCERT ROCKED!
Eddie kind of got off on a tangent, but he was having a great time!
Sammy LOVES St. Louis and St. Louis LOVES Sammy and it shows! They did two encores with three songs each. The concert lasted close to three hours.
As always,Sammy stole the show but Eddie, Alex, Michael and Wolfie all had a great time and energy as well!

Saw them last night here in San Diego and left thing I didn't get enough Sammy, no "can't drive 55" and not enough Van Hagar. I personally think the 1st half of the show should be David and the 2nd half finishing off with Sammy

I saw them last week in Cincinnati and it was the best concert I've ever seen. Sammy did an amazing job with the vocals. Eddie was amazing, and I was very impressed with Mike Anthony and Alex's solos. Unchained rocked! this is the best I've ever seen Sammy. I think Sammy did a great job covering DLR tunes (much better than on the live album, Right Here, Right Now) and actually made them his own. After 18 years and all the drama, he has earned the right to sing those tunes!

Eddie blew my mind. He did a solo for a half hour. I love Mike Anthony's vocals. He is an amazing talent. This concert was so good. they rocked for over 3 hours.

I am probably one of the biggest Sammy Hagar fans out there, both my boat and cat are tributes with names such as "the red rocker" for my boat and "sammy the cat". However, after seeing Sammy twice on his own, I was extremely disappointed with this concert. I bought primo tickets and paid top dollar. The songlist sucked with the worst of the Van Hagar songs and way too much of the old DLR stuff. The band appeared very divided, Sammy didn't seem into the DLR stuff and the band didn't appear to be into the Van Hagar stuff. Not only was the music subpar, but Sammy seemed more interested in signing autographs than performing. Once again, VERY disappointing. I would not see them again, but would consider seeing Sammy solo, he did a much better job without the competion of the rest of the band!!! (Sorry Sammy, even though you're almost 58, I'de still do ya!!)
