Did you read Rory’s post on his solution to the RSS versus ATOM fight that has been going on for what seems like forever? If you haven’t done that yet, go there and then come back to this post. Alright, I’ll assume that if you got this far you’ve read his post.
Why did Rory wait until well after the PDC to come up with this great idea? He could have dropped this bomb at the Blogger Birds Of a Feather session, and saved us from the ATOM versus RSS fighting that went on instead of discussion stuff like why we blog. Maybe Rory had a problem hearing himself think since I kept yelling “Give Clemens another beer”.
Maybe Rory actually come up with this idea before the PDC, and since he is concerned that people think he is gay, so he probably didn’t want to see the following in the PDC’s Birds Of a Feather list:
BOF Rory’s Another Simple Syndication
If they held that session who would [edited for stupidity]?
If Rory donated his idea to the community and made it everyone’s format, would you have to change the session title to:
BOF Your Another Simple Syndicaton
I guess it is time to clean up all the coffee I spewed over my desk while reading Rory’s post.
