New Jersey Code Camp III

Scott recently announced that we will be having the third New Jersey Code Camp on November 18th at the Microsoft office in Iselin, NJ.  We have not opened registration yet, but we are accepting session abstracts through this form on Scott's site.  We usually try to get about 16 to 20 sessions, and we are always looking for new presenters (we love our regular presenters too!).  If you haven't done a presentation  before, and would like to get the opportunity to try your hand at it in a very non-threatening environment, you will be hard pressed to find a better opportunity.  My usual offer stands, if you would like some mentoring, or maybe just a little encouragement, I'll definitely do my best to help you out.  Sharepoint and open source tools/applications seems to be something that will be hot for this Code Camp, but all developer oriented presentations are welcome (they don't have to be about .Net or even Microsoft products).  I don't have another MSDN Premium Subscription to give away to the audience's favorite new presenter, but I'll see what sort of prize I can dig up this time.

About donxml

I’m an independent consultant, specializing in .Net solutions architecture, based out of New Jersey who also doubles as an evangelist for XML, Domain Driven Design, enterprise architecture and .Net. I do not work for Microsoft, the W3C or any other big company that you may know of (at least not yet). I’ve been an indie for over ten years, and although I’ve been tempted a couple times to take a job with companies like Microsoft, I’ve haven’t found something better than my current situation. I work mostly with the large pharmaceuticals that are based here in New Jersey, and usually find myself on long term contracts. Definitely not the prototypical indie consultant, but it lets me dedicate time to my non-income generating activities like the developer community stuff, plus financing open source projects like XPathmania and MVP-XML. If you would like to talk to me about doing some contract work, just contact me via the contact page. My rates vary widely, depending on lots of different variables, but mostly distance from Jersey, and type of work. Plus, I’ve been known to donate some of my code for various projects.
