Looking For a Consulting Assignment

It has been a great run at my current client (over 2 years) but all good things must come to an end, so I’ll be looking for a new consulting assignment shortly (over the next month).  I’ve got a ton of volunteer work to keep me busy, but I’d also like to do my part supporting the economy (i.e. a paying gig).  How much and where?  Well the how much depends on what and where.  I’m not into the traveling thing, so staying local to North NJ would be best.  As for what, a senior .Net position (including architect and mentor), or anything XML based, but I’m also a sucker for “interesting” work.  You can get a copy of my resume in Word format, or as HTML, or even better, the HR-XML Consortium Resume Schema.  Please contact me thru the jobsearchAT NOSPAMdonxml dot com email address for more info.  Don't be shy about asking if I'm interested in something.  Even if I may not be interested, I may know of people that may.

Oh, my whole team is coming down, so if you (or someone you know) is looking for consultants in NJ with Pharma (FDA, GLP, CFR Part 11) experience (i.e. testers, compliance, validation), .Net developers (of various levels), SAS developer, Oracle development DBA, and a project manager, please let me know, and I’ll pass it on to them.  We have a great bunch of people on the team, and I want to do my best to get them new assignments, too.

About donxml

I’m an independent consultant, specializing in .Net solutions architecture, based out of New Jersey who also doubles as an evangelist for XML, Domain Driven Design, enterprise architecture and .Net. I do not work for Microsoft, the W3C or any other big company that you may know of (at least not yet). I’ve been an indie for over ten years, and although I’ve been tempted a couple times to take a job with companies like Microsoft, I’ve haven’t found something better than my current situation. I work mostly with the large pharmaceuticals that are based here in New Jersey, and usually find myself on long term contracts. Definitely not the prototypical indie consultant, but it lets me dedicate time to my non-income generating activities like the developer community stuff, plus financing open source projects like XPathmania and MVP-XML. If you would like to talk to me about doing some contract work, just contact me via the contact page. My rates vary widely, depending on lots of different variables, but mostly distance from Jersey, and type of work. Plus, I’ve been known to donate some of my code for various projects.
